Child or Teen Therapy
Ready to come in the office? We are here for you.
We offer remote sessions for your comfort.
Psychotherapy can help an individual move from a place of unhappiness or dissatisfaction to finding resolution, joy or peace. Counselors can tap into the many various theories from Psychology to promote change. That can span doing deep work addressing past childhood wounds and uncovering subconscious messages that unknowingly drive your life, to Brief Solution Focused therapy where the past isn’t the focus. There is no one size fits all. Therapy is a collaborative process in which you and your therapist will discover and identify the knowledge, tools, and skills you need for your path forward.

Think of therapy as connecting with someone who can really listen and understand your story; someone who is completely present for you. Not only that, they can also provide insight into why you are struggling and help you learn different ways to see or interact with others as well as towards yourself so you are no longer challenged with whatever is weighing you down.
Though the therapist is the “expert,” therapy is a very collaborative process, and above all, we will always respect the decisions you make for what you think is best for you
Each session is approximately 50 mins.
We are currently in network for BCBS PPO and United Healthcare/Optum.
If we do not accept your insurance, out of network benefits do apply.
For the best results, at the beginning, sessions are usually weekly.
Circumstances sometimes might require more frequent sessions, but that generally would be for a short time period.
Over time, as you integrate changes and life is better, you and your therapist will decide the frequency of sessions until you no longer need therapy.
Yes, what is shared in sessions is confidential with some exceptions. These will be thoroughly explained in your first session, but generally, the exceptions are where safety is a concern, permission has been granted, or there is a legal mandate.
The standard rate for therapy is $150/session. However, please talk with us for a sliding fee.
The right therapist for you is the person who is knowledgeable with your particular issues, but most importantly, someone who you connect with. Your personality and their personality also has to be a good fit. You’ll know!
Since each person and situation is unique, it is impossible to know how many sessions will be needed. However, you and your therapist will have ongoing conversations as to what’s needed.
